Emerald Downs wanted a new graphics package to celebrate their transition from Analog to High Definition. The concept needed to be eye-catching and unique to horse racing but also familiar enough to ease the transition for their longtime fanbase.

One crucial component of this graphics package’s success was that it had to integrate with Emerald Downs third-party tote company Sportech.

Horse racing has a plethora of live data that enables their customers to access live betting odds in real-time and unlike any other sport on earth the amount of data on-screen can be staggering. Westin-Ryan was able to successfully bridge the gap between Emerald Downs betting data and their on air presence using custom software designed for their Ross Xpression graphics system.
